MIP TLR 22 5.0 Super Differential Bi Metal kit with 17.5 Drive System.


Ball differentials are essential to any racer’s program, and as of late MIP has shied away from the conventional steel pin drive differential design; but no longer ladies and gentleman, because we have a ball differential that is anything but conventional. This race proven two piece outdrive design will automatically shed 40% off of your OEM rotational mass; which equates to quicker acceleration perfect for any motor/car combination. To compliment the on the surface advantages of the Bi-Metal outdrives it also includes All-American diff components including tungsten carbide diff balls, diff rings, 2-piece captured thrust assembly, bearings, machined aluminum T-Nut, and new spring/screw. This combination of high quality components allows the diff to feel and perform just as well as it looks, PERFECT! Now how is this Bi-Metal kit any different than previous versions? The answer lies in the updated aluminum diff hubs, as they now accept the TLR dimension diff rings (MIP specific diff rings previously). This change makes it less stressful to rebuild your MIP diff in a pinch with TLR diff components if MIP diff rebuilds #17065 are not available. These upgrades will give you a longer lasting smooth differential, a wider range of adjustability, and of course making sure it stays in its set position longer. Overall you will ditch 35% of your rotating mass while keep the same driving characteristics you are used to. Say “NO” to a heavy inefficient differential, and say “YES” to MIP’s all new Bi-Metal differential for your stock or super-stock race chassis.
